Unveiling Divine Love Notes from God | Ep 10
Ever wondered how the divine communicates with us through nature, or how a simple hummingbird could be a reminder of God's unique qualities? We're here to shed light on these beautiful mysteries and unravel the 'love notes from God' that subtly appear in our everyday lives. From milkweed and sunflower volunteers in the backyard to the birds chirping outside your window, we delve deep into the symbolism these elements hold and how they remind us of God's unwavering presence and love. We share our personal experiences of these divine messages, their comforting effect, and how they reaffirm our faith in His plan for us.
We discuss how a mindful approach can help us notice these divine love notes around us - in the fluttering of a hummingbird's wings or the whispering winds. It's about the revelations from a powerful moment of prayer, the anointing that confirmed the success of a new endeavor, and the necessity of our spiritual armor. Remember, God's love notes are all around us; all we need to do is notice.

Tiffany:Good morning. I'm Tiffany Windsor and I'm Mary and I'm Vienna. Welcome to my dear friends. I love sharing the space with you. Mary, I'm giving you the mic. What is the theme of today's discussion?
Mary:The theme of today's is love notes from God, and I'd just like to pray us in. Lord, we're just so grateful that you have gathered us here today. We know that you are here with us, and we ask for you to point out your love notes to us, not just today, but every day because sometimes life gets very hard and sad and lonely and we're never alone. So, Lord, show us your love notes. Jesus' name.
Tiffany:Amen, amen. Thank you, Mary. You have some really cool stories about love notes. We were talking about some plants that have popped up in your backyard, so do you want to start us off?
Mary:I will. So years ago we had some milkweed with so many monarchs. The cocoons just covered the stairs and the cushions, hanging off of everything. We had to check where we sat, so we didn't sit on a cocoon and it was such an extravagant abundance.
Mary:And if anyone has followed the life cycle of a butterfly, you know that it starts out as a caterpillar and then you end up in a cocoon and you basically get turned to mush and sometimes the trials of this life feel like that. And then, on the other side of that transformation, you become a butterfly and able to see the world in a way that you could never before, as you were roaming along the edges of a leaf and on the ground. So the transformation was necessary. And what's so interesting is I have some monarch caterpillars in my backyard from a volunteer milkweed, from that original milkweed which was just torn and ripped out by someone who didn't know the value. And you know, sometimes those kind of people leave destruction in their path. But the love note from God in that was he's restoring, he's renewing and he's redeeming.
Tiffany:When you told me this story this morning, the first thing that came to mind is Mary, do you see the progress that that represents, this new growth and something from nothing coming up, and that's excellent.
Mary:It's really neat to see because the volunteering. There has been nothing there for years, I want to say five years. It's been a barren corner and Our plants here in California don't seem to understand that it's fall. So the irises are blooming and the kumquat is fruiting and the Milkweed is growing and the caterpillars are transforming. They don't seem to understand it's not caterpillar season and God is just laughing saying he doesn't need a season, just gonna bless beyond.
Mary:And then I have other volunteers there that are sunflowers and we had a family member pass away unexpectedly years ago and it was my sister-in-law's sister my sister-in-law as well, and she was a precious woman named Mary. My sister-in-law was just distraught and lonely and sad over what happened and God gave her the gift of sunflowers. That was Mary's favorite flower and she had a backyard that was just grass and empty garden space and she had so many sunflowers. So near my milkweed volunteer I have sunflower volunteers. So I feel like that is like you can't mistake this love. Note you have to see that I'm here with you with the milkweed, here with you with the sunflower, and I'm here and you're going to see me.
Tiffany:For me, love notes definitely show up in the birds around me, no matter where I live. I always put the hummingbird feeders out and they tell me, as you know, they have a very soft sound to them. You can hear them speaking and they will dart around and as they get to know you better, you can be standing right there and they will just dash around. Those mean a lot to me because my mom is the one who gave me the love of hummingbirds and and she always attracted dozens of them wherever she hung her hummingbird feeders.
Mary:And we just saw hummingbird before we started and you told me what Hummingbird represents hummingbirds represent joy, so they're joyful.
Tiffany:Play as they fly around is a reminder for us to be joyful.
Vienna:I used to live in an area canyon actually that experienced fires and probably about every three to five years we would have a major fire and there was a little hummingbird that would come to the back door and get fed all the time. When the fires came, the smoke was super heavy, the sparks were flying through the air. I thought, oh gosh, probably lost that little guy. But no, so tough. He came back and he's like looking in the window get, my feet are back up there so gentle, sweet and very, very resilient as well as joyful.
Tiffany:All of these beautiful qualities of God that God gives us in our life that we need to remember. One of the things, Vienna, that you were talking about earlier is how we can so easily miss them. If our mind is in such a clutter that we don't take a moment to breathe and look at those signs, it's so easy to miss them. The butterfly flying by, the sunflower that's sprouting up in your garden, Mary. It's important that, as we pray daily, that we ask that we continue to see all of these love notes that are brought to us all day long.
Vienna:I agree with that and I think it's really true that you have to be aware, like aware, not just walking around with your head focused on whatever problems and situations, your job, circumstances of life but to really be present is something you have to be mindful of looking for those flowers, looking for those birds, looking at the clouds. I was at a birthday last night. A dear friend had her birthday party and the sky was beautiful color of blue and there was one cloud and it was in the shape of a heart and I was pointing it out to people and it was just funny to me, because it's like I'm always looking at the sky, but I took a picture of it because it's the shape of a heart is so cool, just by itself, nothing else around it and just really beautiful moment, and got to share it with the birthday girl.
Tiffany:Mary, I just was reminded of another love note.
Mary:After church this morning we went up to the front to receive prayer from the prayer team and I saw a gentleman walk up and I'm like no, he's not the one. And then Pat, she's this little white-haired Grandmom and I knew she was the right one and I knew we had been needing the prayer to cover this new endeavor. Pat just had some really amazing love notes to share. One of them was to have a backbone, to strengthen our backbone in order to persevere and I've just been having back pain for so many months and it's related it's all related to unnecessary burdens and misplaced guilt and shame and not stepping in to the right things and also giving those burdens up to God instead of carrying them. That was one of my takeaways.
Tiffany:Such an incredible moment. I will confess that Mary and I were both in tears. It was so profound for me because Mary and I have been holding this vision for Periwinkle Pomegranate and for In His Hands, and this was the first time that we asked for prayer. To see her eyes light up, Mary, when you explained to her, because she said, well, what is it that you want prayer for? And her eyes lit up and she was on fire in praying over us and praying over this project, because the Lord keeps putting on our heart that it keeps growing and growing and we keep saying, but how? And the Lord keeps saying not to worry. She really helped remind me of that this morning and it was a very powerful moment and that the success will come from God.
Mary:We are agreeing with him that there's a time for this and that time is now and Pat's just confirming that. She's confirming with her prayer and her anointing. And she was touching our heads and as if it was anointing oil running down our heads and those kind of things are just so precious and it was a holy touch and confirmation that it's from the Lord. And she also pointed out the enemy will come against. So no surprise there either.
Tiffany:So that means we need to put on our armor, and we've been learning so much about that and we know that we will pray through this.
Mary:And I just want to wrap up with via con dios, go with God.
Tiffany:Thank you, dear friends and amen.
